What do Christian Guys Look For in a Girl? | Christian Dating Advice

I don’t think anyone gave me true that happy with someone that they are not attracted to I mean yeah like our beauty is a big plus to everybody welcome back to the channel today we’re gonna be talking about what are some qualities that Christian men really should be looking for in a woman in order to help me answer this question I’ve got a couple of my guy friends who also run some pretty awesome [Music] I think that every man should look at the attitude and the personality of a woman is she gracious to your flaws so once you start getting to know each other like the sheep get really ticked off that you do something a little bit wrong or like that you aren’t strong in this area or if he gracious with you that’s a she needs to be supportive in other words does she support your dreams they should find a woman that is loyal a woman that loves God a woman that respects herself does she encourage you does she make you a better man are you better with her than you are without her that’s also gonna be the most important part to your relationship is having someone who loves God it was loyal and respects herself and respects you look for how she loves other people look for how she loves her family that’s a good room look for how she relates to her family cuz I’ll tell you a lot about she’s gonna relate to you also women who are serving in their church and in their community think about the fruits of the spirit does she demonstrate those qualities love doing peace patience kindness is she selfless does she give up herself not just to you but to other people as well and then third and one to say beauty and I’m not talking about inward beauty in your beauty is very much important but that’s not what I’m talking about here I’m talk number of that Oh tribute another one it sounds cliche but in word beauty I mean yeah like our beauty is a big plus to yes know what I’m talking about it’s someone we are attracted to now mind you who you find beautiful and attractive another person with night but is not what the other person think is that what what you think I don’t think anyone can be truly happy with someone that they’re not attracted to but inward beauty like just the way that she loves other people like if she is thoughtful if she is generous if she is patient think about the fruits of the spirit does she demonstrate those qualities love joy peace patience kindness and those things are gonna carry over transfer over to you I mean if you end up getting married dating and so forth you want to look for those godly characteristics she needs to be spiritual she doesn’t just need to go to church but she needs to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ godliness I would even say godly maturity like if you’re looking to get married attention to the woman see no matter what the relationship in our lives is we should always have God as the number-one priority in our life if you do not sense that she has an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ that I would not consider getting into relationship with her if she’s really new to the faith I would say give her some time but yeah look for godliness look for a passion for God look for how she worships God and also women who just love God above others yes all Morgan worth from God and I was like wow she’s genuine she has a genuine faith and those things are gonna carry over or transfer over to you if you end up getting married dating and so forth you want to look for those godly characteristics I would also say if the girl is disciplined because discipline is like a really good drink drive I think is so important it really Drive is very significant with faith she’s consistent in reading her Bible is she looking to learn Jesus on a deeper level is she driven to learn more about the Bible and also are you both driven to encourage each other’s Drive I’m seeing the word driven a lot well there you guys have it before I jump in and share the quality that I think that guys really need to be looking for in a woman I want to ask you guys to share your thoughts in the comment section below if you are a guy watching this right now what are some qualities that weren’t mentioned in this video let us know in the comment section below but ask for me the thing that I want to encourage you to be looking for in a potential spouse is to find someone that is actually different from you perhaps even to the point where you’re so different that it actually frustrates you at time here’s what I mean by that a couple of years ago a friend shared with me a little bit of wisdom that I think is really applicable where he said um if the two of you are the same then one of you is obsolete and I think that this is a really great advice when you think about the purpose of marriage when you think about the purpose of a relationship from a Christian perspective God has designed marriages God has designed relationships to be the kinds of things that help us to grow that challenge us to become better people and so if you are the exact same as the other person same strengths same weaknesses same tendencies all that kind of stuff then usually what happens is you just end up becoming the exact same person you end up enabling each other in both your strengths you do well in the strengths but then your weaknesses really get compounded as well and so for me I find that marriage is best when you have complementary skills and gifts and interest and so the way that I see this playing out in my relationship with my wife is that my wife is a very very very patient person and I am the exact opposite I’m a patient person at all and so many times this is really frustrating for both of us it’s frustrating for me because my wife can be super patient so accommodating that and many times she’s taken advantage of and she just like is a people pleaser and then of course it’s it’s you know it’s it’s annoying for my wife because I’m short-tempered or I just get frustrated very easily and so the way that this actually benefits us in a relationship is usually when I have a situation at life or work or something like that and I want to be you know short-tempered I want to be impatient about it I think about my wife and I think about how I see her acting in certain situations and I try to mimic that and it’s like a constant reminder of where I need to be growing towards where I need to be developing in my personal life I’m on one side of the spectrum my wife’s on the other side of the spectrum and because we spend so much time with each other we realize that we need them you both be moving more towards the middle and so for us our opposites our weaknesses our differences really end up complement to really end up helping us grow a lot and here’s how I know that this was actually working back when I first started dating my wife I had many friends who and oftentimes tease me and tell me Justin you know what you’re getting soft which was kind of an insult to me because I always looked at myself as very strong and independent men but they would say you know Justin you’re getting soft in a good way I see Emily rubbing off on you and so this is why I think it’s best when you find someone who has differences that might even frustrate you because you end up growing at the end of the day so there you guys have it a couple qualities
