7 LESS POPULAR Reasons a Christian Should Break Off a Dating Relationship RIGHT AWAY!

today I’m going to share with you seven ways that you can know that it is time to sever that dating relationship that is coming up today hey everyone my name is Alan Parr thank you so much for tuning do all sorts of other Bible based videos as well so if you’re new consider subscribing so today I just want to jump right in I’ve got seven ways that you can tell if you are currently dating someone or maybe you have a friend that’s currently dating someone that you can tell that man is probably time to sever this relationship and real quick what are some reasons that you think that somebody should break off a relationship leave those in a comment section below number one if you are dating an unbeliever it is time right now to sever that relationship listen there is a verse in the Old Testament first Kings chapter 11 verse 1 that says that Solomon loved many foreign women and these foreign women drew his heart away from God so in the same way whenever we date people who are not saying it doesn’t matter how good they are it doesn’t matter how nice they are how attractive they are how good they treat us we are in direct violation of the word of God in 2nd Corinthians chapter 6 verse 14 which says do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers and so whenever we just go out and date someone who is not a Christian what we’re saying is God I don’t believe that you know what’s best for me and so because I don’t trust you enough to send me a Christian I’m gonna go out and do my own thing I actually have a whole other video that talks about how to know if you are unequally yoked I’ll put a link in the description box below and a card somewhere on the screen the second way is a real quick one and that is whenever you do not have peace about the relationship that you are in Colossians 3:15 it says let the peace of God rule in your hearts and that word rule actually is the Greek word that means to act as an umpire so we know what Empire does an umpire and a baseball game says safe or ahold right so it calls it as it sees it so whenever you do not have peace about this particular person I heard somebody say it this way listen to your body because your body is listening to you there is a reason why you don’t have peace about it it’s probably God the Holy Spirit in you that’s trying to get you to move away from this particular relationship there’s a reason why you don’t have peace number three and this is a subjective one but when the people around you that love you the most are trying to tell you that this person is not good for you listen whenever you are in love many times you are so blind that you cannot see the things that are going on in this other person because all you want is what you have in front of you but the people that love you and care for you if they are truly hearing from God and they’re your spiritual advisors and you trust them pay attention to the things that they are saying because they’re not hating on you it’s not that they don’t want you to be happy it’s that that they see some things about this person that you don’t see number four is whenever you cannot deal with someone’s baggage listen if you are single right now you are under no obligation to marry anyone if for any reason at all someone shares something with you about their past that just bothers you right then if it bothers you now it’s going to bother you times 10 later so what you don’t want to do is you don’t want to get into a relationship and you end up playing the counselor in this relationship more than the girlfriend of the boyfriend and ultimately one day the spouse that person probably needs some serious one-on-one counseling and you are not the person that can do that you need to sever that relationship let them get the help that they need and then maybe one day whenever they are emotionally whole and stable and steady you all can have a relationship number five is whenever you start to see cracks in that person’s character so if this person is saying one thing and doing something else or whenever they’re consistently not following through or whenever you start to see anger issues or commitment issues or if they cannot submit to Authority in their life things like that right whenever you start to see those cracks in that person like or they just flat-out lie and they’re just just honest these are things that you want to blow up because if you see them now you’re gonna see them times 100 whenever you get married and you’re gonna get married you’re gonna think man God showed me all these things I should have listened then but then it’ll be too late number six is whenever this person consistently causes you or tempts you to go against your morals and your values listen if you went into that relationship and you said you know what these are the things that I stand for these are the things that I believe I’m not having sex with you until we get married and this person does not respect that this person continues to try to break down your barriers and break down your walls right or at best maybe they respect it but they’re not valuing it the same way that you do whenever you start to see that you are becoming someone that you don’t want to be someone different than who you went into the relationship being this is a sign that this person is drawing you further away from God rather than drawing you closer to God and number seven is whenever you are just no longer attracted to that person listen I’m gonna tell you straight up some people will say that it’s not important that you don’t have to be attracted to somebody listen that is a lie attraction is very important it’s not the only thing it’s not the most important thing but you do need to be attracted to the person and let me explain why if you are not attracted to that person now then you probably aren’t going to be attracted to them much whenever you get married because right now in the dating relationship this is when the attraction is at its highest peak so what’s going to end up happening is this you are going to get married thinking that attraction is not that important and then it’s only a matter of time before that person figures out that you are not attracted to them and you’re gonna have to make excuses in terms of why you don’t want to be intimate with them and so it’s not only going to damage their self-esteem because they’re gonna figure it out pretty quickly but it’s also gonna rob you of the intimacy that God wants you to have in your marriage which is a beautiful thing whenever you’re with the right person and then ultimately it’s going to cause both of you to be more vulnerable to having an affair outside of your marriage so if you’re not attracted to them now you probably will not
