Christian videos hair videos things of that nature life style all those different things so yeah please make sure to subscribe and then be sure to like this video if you do like it but today I’m just gonna be talking about 5 things to know before entering a Christian relationship a godly relationship a courtship whatever you want to call it these are just five things to know now I’m not saying that you have to be perfect and you have to get all these things right flawlessly that’s not what I’m saying because I’m not perfect and I know that you guys are not perfect either because we’re all human but these are just some things to keep in mind and to know before entering a Christian relationship that were important for me to know and important for me to learn some of these things I’ve learned and turn my relationship and I wish I would have known beforehand so I wanted to just share these with you guys if you see me looking down because I have some notes on my phone so the first thing to know is patience is key you have to be patient because you know you don’t want to get into a situation and then you just start rushing ahead of God’s timing you’re just doing everything that your flesh wants doing everything the way that you want to do it you really want to be patient and be in alignment with gods that you’re following his will and not your own will you want to really focus on developing a friendship with the person before just jumping into a relationship jumping into a courtship you want to just you know develop a friendship because if you’re going to enter a godly relationship or a Christian relationship that is ultimately going to lead to marriage there’s nothing wrong with just being friends for a period of time there’s no rush there literally is no rush if you may potentially spend the rest of your life with this person there’s no rush to just get through the friendship period just get to know this person be honest be open and be patient and let God work things out in his timing do not try and do things on your own timing your own timetable because you have a very limited vision and you don’t want to sell yourself short so definitely be patient and really lean on God to help help you figure out the timing in the pace of your relationship you don’t want to get antsy and be like I found somebody alright let me lock them down like no you want to just be patient take a day by day and just focus on really getting to know that person the next thing to know is you have to have a relationship with God first it’s imperative for you to have a relationship with God first because it’s gonna be pretty impossible to have a god centered godly Christian relationship if you don’t have a relationship with God yourself my suggestion would be chase after God with all of your heart before you meet your future husband or your significant other chase after God with your with your heart then so that God can help prepare you to meet the right person so that when he does come along you are ready you’re prepared and you guys can just kind of chase after God together something that some I think is very important is that if you focus on God everything else all the other desires of your heart will come to pass so the Bible says in Matthew chapter 6 verse 33 but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you and that’s the New King James Version so seek God first and everything will be added to you if you have the desire in your heart to have a relationship to become married God will bring it to pass and his timing acceptable focus on your relationship with him first and then he will just bring it to pass and God will help to prepare you to be a wife helps to prepare you to be a good girlfriend eventually someone who’s a fiancee God will help mold you into those things so focus on God first because he’s gonna lead you he’s gonna guide you and then when the right person comes into your life God will be able to show you and reveal to you that that’s the right person for you so my next point is know that your courtship will get attacked it won’t be perfect and temptation will come this one is huge and I did not know this getting it to like a Christian relationship especially a relationship that that is kind of like on display because me my fiance we make videos here we have our own channel I’ll link it down below but yeah we kind of put my relationship on display to be honorable to God so you have to understand that when you’re entering a Christian relationship specifically that it’s gonna be under attack the enemy does not like relationships and he is gonna do whatever he can to try and break you up but thankfully that battle is already won and we have victory through Christ Jesus so you really just have to remember don’t be naughty worst thing you can do was walk up in a Christian relationship and think it’s going to be roses in Sunshine’s and merry-go-rounds every single day no there’s gonna be times where the enemy is really trying to ruin your relationship just keep that in mind so that should not cutoff guards they focus on God continue to let God lead your relationship continue to seek God in your relationship and God will help you maneuver through those attacks you just have to stay close to him throughout their next point is to focus on the big picture disagreements will come storms will come but you have to be focused on what you guys are doing this for if you guys are leading to marriage and you’re wanting to be married you can’t let little things get you so worked up and get you so bent up out of shape because how are you gonna be able to accomplish what God has for you guys if you get caught up over spilled milk this one can be a little bit tricky because obviously everyday things may seem like a really big deal but that’s why you have to intentionally focus on the big picture if God is bringing someone into your life it’s for a reason and you can’t get caught up on the little trivial things focus on the big picture this is somebody that you you might get married to start a family with have children and you know raise children with so you can’t just get caught up over every little thing no matter who you’re with you’re gonna have disagreements so just learn how to just stick them out and be there for each other and never lose sight of the big picture do not get caught up in the small trivial things of day-to-day it’s just not worth it so just be aware of the fact that you know when you get in a relationship you will get caught up in the day-to-day but you have to intentionally focus wider and think about okay why are we together what are we doing this for and it will help put things into perspective for you guys so my last is that you have to be intentional and every single thing that you do and this might sound like a little overboard you might be like Lia that’s kind of a lot and every single thing that we do yes you really do because as soon as you take your eyes off of God that is when your relationship might be subject to attack so you really want to be focused on God and attentional and all that you do starting a relationship that might end up in marriage and children like I said so you want to take it seriously I think it’s just important to have conversations with one another regarding how late you want to be on the phone how late you might want to visit over somebody’s house have conversations about what happens if the opportunity for a sleepover comes up how conversations then address these things in advance and being be intentional if you know that you are likely to want to sleep over you’re likely don’t want to kind of lay up in the bed you can’t put yourself in a situations where you’re going to do those things you really want to be in tune with the Holy Spirit and be intentional and be very God light in your decisions it’s very easy to not be intentional it’s very easy to become idle but you have to be intentional if you want your relationship to stay focused on God because you know godly relationships do not happen by accident Christian relationships do not happen by accident you have to be so so intentional when it comes to what you watched what you listened to what you intake what you see what you do what you’ve read what you’ve write where you go who you’re with where y’all going all those different things I know that sounded really redundant but that’s really how it is you have to be on top of these things if you honor God with your relationship and you glorify with him with your relationship God will protect your relationship and he will keep you guys yeah that’s pretty much all I have to say like I said I’m not perfect at all of these things but these are just things that I think would be super super important to just meditate on before you get into a relationship before you meet somebody and then after you meet somebody as well you know just remind yourself day you know I haven’t been I haven’t been super intentional and that’s okay you can change the trajectory of your relationship when you change your
