questions about dating divorce marriage sex all sorts of stuff and I know we add in flow out of this topic but I wanted to answer Vincent hands question about how important is sexual attraction within Christian marriages because I’m sure all of you have been around Christians or you’ve walked into a church or you see them on TV and it’s like jean skirts 1992 circle bangs or you look like you just popped out of the 50s or you’re wearing basically the equivalent of a wet suit and it’s just like everybody looks like trash like all y’all I’m messing up my look like I’ll be embarrassed to be associated with some of these people because they just look terrible and it’s not because they don’t have the money like if you’re wearing $100 Jersey to church you can clearly afford $100 shirts so it’s not a money issue and I’ve already talked about this up here like I will put it in the video right here about how Christian modesty is an absolute joke so let me know down in the comments below if you’ve ever heard anybody talk about like oh you’re if you’re into beauty or you’re into a certain look that shallow or vain have you heard it in the church if so let me know down below in the comments you know a sister texted me today and she said you know it’s crazy that we live in a society where there’s a dress code to go to the club but the churches come as you are so everybody just looks like garbage but unfortunately within the church there’s this terrible idea where it’s like the worse you look the more holy you are which is completely not scriptural at all because you know I get these comments all the time and they really oh they really annoy me and they they’re actually pretty offensive because whenever I’m sick or I’m just too lazy to put on makeup I’ll get these comments from guys where they’re like wow you look so much more holy without all the war paint and the slap on you and it’s like number one I like looking like this and number two how dare you because my holiness or my righteousness is not dependent on whether or not I wear makeup have my shoulders shown have fake flowers in my hair have my ears pierced wearing like brass bracelets or whatever no it’s what comes out of a man’s heart is what defiles them so if you’re judging my righteousness based off this instead of what’s actually here and it’s coming out of my mouth you’re just as bad as people who judge based off of appearances and says oh this person is ugly so they’re not worth my time so like it really bothers me when people do that when they judge my holiness or my righteousness based off of whether or not I have makeup on so I want people to know that when it comes to you and God God doesn’t care what this looks like he cares what’s here but God created us with eyeballs he created us with a sex drive and he created human attraction because God wants marriage for us and within marriage you’re going to have sex and with sex you need to have attraction you need to have that attraction where it’s like you want to rip off the person’s clothes and just have sex with them that’s what God intended God put that sex drive within you and now we have moral relativism coming in we have kind of like this liberal theology where it’s like no beauties in the ayah that will hold her and everybody’s equal and if you want an attractive spouse than you’re shallow or you’re vain because you need to accept me as I am instead of me trying to achieve the highest and best out of my love for you and out of my love for God because if you are with somebody and you’re going to be having sex with them out of you should try to do your best or try to look your best for them because if they’re giving themselves over to you want it to be an enjoyable experience like you love this person so don’t you want them to enjoy the experience don’t you want them to enjoy the view so if you love that person you’re going to strive to look as good as possible and when you’re attracting a mate you should always try to look your best you put your best foot forward it’s not vain it’s not shallow it’s loving hey I want you to enjoy your life spent with me and I know that I’m a fallible human being and I know it’s a lot of work but it’s worth it for you because I love you I want you to enjoy having sex while looking at me basically so you’re going to want to put your best foot forward and you can’t force attraction attraction just isn’t your face it’s you know how you sound so if some guy has like a really high-pitched voice but he looks really great it’s gonna be like uh what or if people smell really weird but God put all of that inside of us God wants us to take those things into account such as pheromones or how somebody looks I mean otherwise God wouldn’t have it there and throughout the Bible we see that men and women of God were described by their looks and when they got into relationships with other people within the Bible it wasn’t because wow she just of my flesh bone by bone like what like look at this woman and remember this is before the fall so Eve was banging Eve nobody looked better than Eve because she’s the first woman God ever created in a non fallen state I can’t even imagine what she looks like who knows she’s not a ten she’s a like a billion infinity symbol whatever that’s Eve so of course she’s going to be attractive because God wants them to eight babies so beauty is that first step where it’s like hey I want to get to know more about God’s creation right here and I want to know this specific one it’s what propels us for it too instead of ignoring something to catch our attention so we spend more time with it I want to get to know this more I want to get to know God’s creation more beauty is what is the catalyst for that relationship we see throughout the Bible men and women their first interaction with each other what starts the ball rolling is physical attraction for example unfortunately this can all also go in a bad way we have in Genesis 6 the daughters of men were so gorgeous that the Fallen Angels wanted to have sex with them and produce offspring they saw that they were beautiful we see that suraíh in Genesis 12 now we haven’t gotten to this but we’re going to next week she’s so gorgeous that Abraham’s like hey tell everybody that were siblings because Pharaoh is going to kill me so that he can go back you for himself so the princes were like wow there’s this really hot chick she’s she’s come into Egypt like favorite you need to you need to get that so Pharaoh takes a ride but they don’t bang so don’t worry about it but throughout the Bible it’s just over and over and over people’s physical attraction is mentioned because beauty is something God created God wants you to enjoy his creation we should strive even in this fallen world to be as lovely as possible both inside and out so that we can attract a good spouse so that we can have not only a like spiritually fulfilling relationship but a sexually fulfilling relationship so that you’re attracted to your spouse and we see like when that doesn’t happen it brings a lot of pain and sorrow and we see this with the marriage of Jacob and Leah so Leo was said to have weak eyes and some people will try to Church it up like some versions like oh she didn’t love I know this is a compare and contrast with Leah and Rachel Leah had wheat guys she’s over here like she’s kind of beat and then it says Rachel she is beautiful she’s lovely to look at she has a great figure that’s why Jacob loved Rachel wasn’t cuz she’s just so smart or
