The problem of singleness in our churches is growing to an alarming rate. Many pastors and church leaders have erroneously counselled and in some instances preached against dating. Some pastors do so in line with their church organisational doctrine, while others are against it because it a ‘worldly’ thing to do.

Most single members of churches where there are few spinsters and bachelors feel frustrated that they have limited or no prospect of relationship and marriage.
