Okay, I'm not too good at knowing what to say back to girls, how to test the water, etc. Here are two situations:
1. For example, I'm at work. There's this girl who always smiles and waves at me in a girly way. Then one time she was doing something and I said to her, "You shouldn't do that, it could hurt your teeth." (I didn't actually mean anything by it when I said it, even if I'm interested in her) She then gave a big smile and said, "So why are you interested in my teeth?" I can't know for sure, but I think she may have been trying to flirt with me or something. How should a guy respond back to that? Sometimes I feel like I'm not sure what to say. Like what type of words do guys say back?
2. Another, I saw a girl at college (and she's hot). She says, "We should hang out sometime." Since I'm bad at testing the water, and knowing whether someone's indirectly testing the water and how to act/test the water back, what is the best thing to say/do in these situations?
I'm just looking for some help brushing up on my social skills.

I suggest that IF and when you get a date you keep it on the friendship side because you are not ready for any other type of relationship. Here is how you should respond in situations given

Of course she was flirting with and you blew your chance and a possible date…what you should have said, “Because you have a great smile and I would miss if it were gone.”

She says, “We should hang out sometime.” Since I’m bad at testing the water, and knowing whether someone’s indirectly testing the water and how to act/test the water back, what is the best thing to say/do in these situations? You could have responded “Great here’s my number (give her your cell phone number, she will more than likely respond by giving you hers) maybe we can grab a coffee between classes sometime.”

relax man and don;t overthink and overcalculate situations…just be yourself, go with the flow and have fun!
and if it was me:
1.) i would have NOT have done what you did to initiate a communication….to get her attention, i would just looked at her, smile, and mimick what she was doing with her teeth and just laugh at her….then i would say….”hey your teeth looks cute, i like those pearly whites!” , then i would say seeya and go….
2.) dude, she probably just wants to be your friend….if it was me i would just say “hey thanks!” ….then go….then the next day i would discuss to her about this amazing place i went and she her reaction if she wants to go…then the next day if she’s still interested and if she hadn’t initiated she wants to hang yet, i would invite her…then if she says yes, then good…and if she says no, then i’ll be a man and take it and just be friends with her….
just learn to relax, dude….don’t overthink things and just have fun in talking with the women who you like.
