I am 29 years old and recently divorced. I have not been on a date in over 8 years. I used to be a big flirt, but now I feel like a retard and don’t know what to say. How do you pick your self back up and start over? What is the first date like after the divorce?

It takes time but just like riding a bicycle you never forget how, just start off with baby steps, remember you have to crawl before you can walk

Maybe sign up for an online dating site. You can work yourself back into it slowly at your own pace. I’m sure you will recover your charm soon enough.

Just be yourself and things will be fine. It is one of those things that really takes you being confident about who you are and what is inside of you. If you stress too much, it will show. First date? Nervous and exciting all at the same time. You wind up feeling like a kid again, but as the evening goes on, you usually become more confident and relaxed. I am sure you will do just fine, sweetie!

Remember not to call your date by your ex-husband’s name. Some divorced women do that.

Just relax and be yourself, you’ll do great. Take your time though.
